        We know it’s hard to believe there’s anyone in Deerhunter but Bradford Cox — what with the towering singer’s tendency to “sodomize mediocrity” before a live studio audience and all — but the band’s guitarist (Lockett Pundt) is one hell of a frontman as well, albeit a more subtle one. Case in point: his second Lotus Plaza LP, Spooky Action At a Distance, a Pitchfork-approved descent into a dream world of his own devices.
