News of new Woods Album Makes Me Want to Self-Plagiarize

Woods new album out September 18th

Woods new album out September 18th

Since self-plagiarism seems to be all the rage right about now (see: New Yorker ”pop-neuroscience” writer Jonah Lehrer) it might be wise not to repeat things I may have already said in the past, so I’ll be careful with how I word this since I think I’ve written something really similar in the past: I think Woods are one of the best and most important bands functioning right now, because there are very few groups that can have an experimental side and make it go down easy for folks who might otherwise be turned off by that sort of thing. Yet Woods somehow make it work with every album.

Will the streak continue with the release of the band’s newest, Bend Beyond, on September 19th? Maybe go catch one of their shows in California or the UK this summer and let me know if they play anything you havent heard before.
