today announced their new signature music program powered by eMusic, the world's largest digital retailer of independent music. Focused on the themes of personal renewal and music discovery, Westin Music was developed by the brand's dedicated "eMusicologist" Richard Gehr, and is designed to take consumers places experientially, culturally and geographically. Guests will discover music not heard anywhere else from independent artists around the world in more than 127 Westin Hotels worldwide.

Building upon its lifestyle approach and following the recent introduction of its signature White Tea scent, Westin's music program was designed to create a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere and a truly memorable sensory experience for guests. The program has been incorporated into various aspects of the guest experience, including the lobby environment, in-room entertainment and the brand's Welcome program. The music program is also part of Unwind, Westin's signature social experience that invites guests to interact with each other and to engage with their destinations.

Experience Westin Music with Free Playlist Downloads
Guests can take the Westin Music experience home or on the road with the brand's signature downloadable playlists. Consumers can visit http://www.westinmusic.com and sample Westin's specially developed soundtracks and download their favorite tunes directly to their computer or MP3 player. In addition, for a limited time, visitors to the site can also download 50 free tracks from eMusic's catalogue of more than two million tracks.

Westin eMusicologist Richard Gehr, who also serves as eMusic's World Music Columnist and is one of the leading authorities on international music, carefully compiled soundtracks for multiple hotel environments based on factors including geographic location, culture and architecture (i.e.: historic or contemporary). From mellow music to unwind, to soothing Heavenly tunes and workout tracks, the specially developed playlists offer selections for every personality and mood.
