MORE MUSIC, PLEASE:
eMUSIC RESPONDS TO CUSTOMER DEMAND WITH NEW CONNOISSEUR PLANS

Offers 100, 200 and 300 Downloads a Month

NEW YORK, Mar. 29, 2007 -- eMusic
subscribers are passionate about music, and eMusic makes it easy to discover the latest new artist or hidden catalogue gem with affordable subscription plans and universally compatible tracks in the MP3 format. Now, in response to overwhelming customer demand, eMusic, the world’s largest retailer of independent music and the world’s second-largest digital music service after iTunes, introduces new, high-quantity subscriptions to satisfy even the most gluttonous music lover: eMusic Connoisseur Plans.

eMusic will offer three new monthly subscription plans to existing eMusic subscribers: the Basic Connoisseur Plan, 100 downloads a month for $24.99; the Plus Connoisseur Plan, 200 downloads a month for $49.99; and the Premium Connoisseur Plan, 300 downloads a month for only $74.99. Each plan offers downloads for 25 cents per track. Existing subscribers can gain access to the plans at (https://www.emusic.com/account/upgrade/supersize.html) The new offering coincides with recent news about the 20% first-quarter decline in music industry sales, and an NPD Group survey that shows the number of people legally downloading music has increased 65% since 2005.

“At a time when the music industry is shrinking and major record labels are struggling to improve their bottom line with digital sales, eMusic’s customers are ready to legally buy even more music,” said David Pakman, President and CEO of eMusic. “Our customers have told us that the 90 downloads a month in our highest plan are just not enough. They’re passionate about discovering music, our subscription plans allow them to explore our vast catalogue of over two million tracks, and the MP3 format gives them the freedom to play their music on every digital music device on the market. It’s proof that when you make it easy for people to discover and buy new music, they want to buy more of it.”
