eMusic Will Sell Paul McCartney’s Memory Almost Full

Retailer to Offer Album in DRM-Free Universally Compatible MP3 Format

NEW YORK, Jun. 4, 2007 -- eMusic
, the world’s largest retailer of independent music and the world’s second largest digital music service after iTunes, announces that it will carry the new album from Paul McCartney, Memory Almost Full, due on Tuesday, June 5 from Hear Music, the label formed by Starbucks Entertainment and Concord Music Group. The album will be available on all eMusic sites in the United States, United Kingdom and the European Union.

The agreement reaffirms eMusic’s long-standing relationship with Concord Music Group, which formed the Hear Music label in partnership with Starbucks Entertainment earlier this year. eMusic and Concord Music Group have worked together since 2005 and the label group is consistently among the site’s top five labels.

eMusic will distribute the record in the universally compatible MP3 format. The site will merchandise the album heavily upon its debut, including an eMusic Review of the Day, merchandising on the eMusic home page and dedicated emails to hundreds of thousands of subscribers worldwide.

“eMusic customers have a voracious appetite for discovering new music and are the perfect audience for this great album from Paul McCartney,” said Concord Music Group General Manager Gene Rumsey. “eMusic has been a valued partner for Concord Music Group and we believe they can bring a lot of value to the marketing and sales campaign for Memory Almost Full.”

“We know that Paul McCartney’s new album will, without a doubt, hit the sweet spot for many eMusic subscribers – eMusic customers grew up with the Beatles and Wings and are eager to hear new material from a legendary artist,” said David Pakman, eMusic President and CEO. “We expect that they’ll help spread the word about the new album, and we’re proud to support Hear Music on this landmark release.”
