If you're looking for something folksy with a wide variety of strings and all-around great musicianship, this album is incredible. On the morose side, it still speaks of hope. But aside from that, it's the music itself that is simply done really, really well.
The Nothing Venture is a sweet tragedy. Tragic because it is the last album Five O'Clock People will ever record together. Sweet because dancing melodies and wry lyrics play in your ears on tracks like Living Water and Blame. If you like Caedmon's Call or other groups with incredible musicianship, you will find yourself lucky to have discovered this album.
