...if you appreciate DVOA at all. Among Mark Spybey's best. Disc 1 contains songs created with the band (duo?) Sugarpill, and includes vocals, guitar, strings & drums. The collaboration results in some of the most sublime work in the project's catalog. "Sulfur" and "Foss Maerum" rival some of Coil's best. Disc 2 is a more, er, 'standard' kind of bump & drone, with a pattern: 3 pairs of tonally related compositions divided by 2 brief interludes, with each pair progressing bright (1&2), to foggy (4&5), to dark & vaguely threatening (7&8). Like a kind of shamanic time travel back to the core of Zoviet France.
