The blind New Orleans guitarist is clean and economical, but still blistering, and this album best captures that Crescent City second-line rhythmic sizzle.

I first saw Snooks in Tipitinas during the NO Jazz & Blues Fest in 1987 and he instantly blew me away with his classy, if sometimes frenetic style. I have a few vynil albums but not this one so I am very grateful to eMusic that it is available. Great voice and terrific guitar backed by a very good band this is more than typical of the live performance that I saw 22 years ago. Another gap filler hits the spot in my collection, thanks eMusic.
