15 years after the first time i listened to The Pist the music and the message still ring as true to me as they did all that time ago. It still makes me want to get up get involved and make a difference something that very few bands every accomplish and something that has been sorely lacking in the punk scene for a very long time. If you ended up here by accident listen you will be moved.
When this came out in 95 i was pretty down about punk, every punk picnic you went to the same bands played the same songs, Nothing seemed to be moving on. then a pen pal sent me a tape of this lp, and it blew away the cobwebs! that tape must have been lent to countless mates and friends of mates! It got me on my toes and motivated again. i got energy from the scene again, and felt like hunt sabbing was not a chore anymore but something positive, i was making a difference, This is the one band i wish i`d seen live, remember seing a.a.a. in derby and talking with them after the show, and they said the sad thing about the pist was that they were too early, and i agree, just think if the pist were formed three years later we wouldnt have to put up with shite like leftover crack!!!
i have this on vinyl and it is a phenomenal album. highly suggested and recommended to any punk rockers out there.
