I have been looking forever for a recording of this song done SPECIFICALLY by him. Yes, the recordings sound like they have been retrieved from the original movie recordings, so they aren't remastered, but I think that is some of the charm to them.
Please allow for these being very old recordings. I find it interesting to see the variety of interpretation, since the patter songs are often linked to events of 'the day', and those events have changed over more than 100 years
I love this music but unfortunately the recording is of extremely poor quality. It sounds like it was ripped from an extremely scratchy record.
