Great and Rare

BrentK

These are some of her best work over the years. Songs associated with theater and film projects endure more due to being exposed to more than just the recording genre. It was "J'ai Danse Avec L'amour" that turned me on to the firey torch song she was so famous for and it and others remain favorites. This is a must have for La Mome Piaf buffs.

As the title suggests, Chansons de Films 1936-61 collects 14 songs from Edith Piaf’s films, as well as songs of hers which appeared in other movies. Songs from films like Montmartre Sur Seine, Etoile Sans Lumiere, Stage Fright, French Can-Can, and Les Amants de Demain make this collection well worth the while of Piaf fans. – Heather Phares
