I love CCR but this their worst

RockinDaddio

because outside of John Fogerty there is no talent in this band. End of story.

Victim of Success

MDT

Apparently there was a lot of pressure internally for the other guys in the band (Doug Clifford, and Stu Cook) to get some time for their songs. As much as anything that is what broke up the band and accounts for the relative weakness of this record, which is their attempt at a more democratic mix of songs.

Not bad

dylansghost

you can hear what the band talks about when they say they broke up b/c the band wanted to get back to the more rockin-honky tonkin sounds they all grew up loving, and fogerty wanted to keep going. looking back, CCR was one of only 4 bands that sounded unique from the other 60s bands, and this one almost ruined it

Wheres John

Revelation

The band must have been on the skids at this point in their short, yet successful career. Joh Fogerty only appears on 3 songs and they are the only redeeming qualities of this disc.
