new to michelle malone so take this for what it's worth but all of the songs, with the exception of Speaking of Fueled and maybe Green, just kind of blended together. Interesting voice but, for my taste, not worth listening to a whole album.
...but I finally found Michelle. The music is crisp, cutting edge and vivid. She has a great style & vocal range. Not only can you hear a little Janis, I hear Beth Hart, Ann Wilson, and Chris Robinson. Gutsy and real... gotta love it.
I've been a Michelle fan for a while now, and so much of her catalog isn't here... (Her live CDs are amazing.) But this is definitely one of her best. She's a friend of the Indigo Girls, and she gets compared to them quite often. But her music and voice have a much rawer, more edgy quality. Sometimes she even seems to channel Janice Joplin.
