"Oceanic Lullaby" is the reason I fell for J-Boogie. Talk about intelligent Dub! Candy for the mind and soul!

Finally on emusic!

Wow, I love this album! I always thought emusic didn't have enough J-Boogie. Intelligent dub that's not afraid to go elsewhere stylistically as well.

An awesome one from the Om Label...

I heard "Golden Nectar" on Pandora internet radio and instantly loved the track. The entire album is full of interesting mixes of East and West. Some of the tracks borderline on R&B, but for the most part have cool grooves with a nice fusion mix of Indian and eastern-sounding flavors.

Def. One of the best - NO doubt

EMUSIC-Sebastian

ALL I can say seriously is that Golden Nectar is a very soul stirring piece/peace. WOW! A masterpiece of of sound & science. There is NO misnomer here - It's all about illumination of heart & soul. It's either ON or off. Spiritually speaking. I like this whole album but right now I"m stuck on tracks 2, 3, 8 & 12.

Of the 100 or so albums downloaded from emusic so far, this is probably one of the top 5. Kick ass album through and through.

A Misnomer

Yadadadabingbang

It's a pity that J Boogie thinks his music is "dub," becasue I simply can't agree with him. This could be more accurately called, "electronic sound management," or something equally corporate - which is kind of how the music feels. Yes, there is sampling, distortion and phlange here... but it's just so damn uninteresting.

Selectively Elegant

I stumbled upon this album when it came out without knowing who J. Boogie was or what the album was going to sound like and I was blown away. It's just such a good meld of soul, downbeat electronic, dub, et al. Just writing this makes me want to listen to it again. "Try me" and "Golden Nectar" are great, but really the whole thing is worth downloading. If you like this, speak up and demand they put up his latest work "Live! In the Mix". It's even better than "Dubtronic Science"...seriously!

They Say All Media Guide

A rich blend of hip-hop, broken beat, dub, and deep house infects this debut release from J Boogie and his Dubtronic Science collective. As can be immediately discerned from the package itself, Dubtronic’s whole aesthetic focuses on a warmth otherwise missing from the majority of downtempo records. Similar in diversity to Recloose, the collective gets it right from start to finish. An impressive debut from these West Coast staples and a sure sign of promising things in the future. – Rob Theakston
