Great front to back
This may be my favorite download of 2010. I feel like I have been searching for this music forever. The songs on this album speak to me like an old friend.

I have downloaded a fair few albums from E Music, some good and some not so. This album from start to finish is more than good, it is sublime. I like to keep a good rotation of CD's in the car, however at the moment they are backing up as I can't get enough of this album.
Liked your review, so downloaded the whole album. LOVE it.
I've been on emusic for 5 years and this is the first album I downloaded. It is also the best one I've ever downloaded. My friends love old rock and heavy metal, but when I play this they all stop, listen, then want a copy. Just get it. Nevermind that guy who says there aren't any standouts, Dove and the Waterline stops people in their tracks, but after two listens so do Battle Hym, Sunrise in the Rearview,Crossing Mississippi, and all the rest. Just get it - the whole thing - you'll be happy.
Rarely have I heard such a poetic folk masterpiece in which every song, one by one, is steeped in perfection and brilliance. Not one song that I regret downloading and this can be very rare for me these days. Five stars is barely enough credit for this gem, one of eMusic's hidden treasures.
For the most part this album runs together with few standouts. "Dove and the Waterline" is an amazing song. It's dark and beautiful and wholly different from the rest of the album. I heard that song first and expected the rest of the album to be the same, but it wasn't. "Secretariat" is also good, but the two are swallowed up by mostly average songs.
Every once in a while, you come across an artist that just makes you ask "how did I not hear about this person before"? Jeffrey Foucault is just that rare find that must of slipped through the cracks. I am absolutely blown away by his sincere "story telling" ability and his mastery of the acoustic guitar. He reminds be of a budding John Gorka with all the vocal depth and range usually resreved for someone who has been in the industry for many more years. I would certainly put this find in the "best new" catagory and, with all honesty, say it's one my favorite new artists. Give it a listen and judge for yourself, trust me, you won't be disappointed!!!
