To me it's the bees that make this one, I looooooove them! I wish I could just have an hour of just bees buzzing around. The rest of it is pretty annoying, because the stream is too loud and the birds are going berserk with their chattering and squawking. I wouldn't say this is particularly relaxing.
I'm allergic to bees, and this recording was ruined by these awful creatures buzzing like kamikaze killers between the microphones. Imagine being lulled to sleep by a nice babbling brook only to be startled by the awful-sounding battle cry from your mortal enemy. Get the one with the whales instead.
This is a track where you either love it, or you hate it. Unfortunately, I cannot get into it. It is not the bees, but just the track itself. I mainly use these to fall asleep to though, and this is clearly a daylight recording. :)
You can tell the microphones are close together, the bees buzz in between them switching between ears fast enough to make you dizzy. Kinda fun, but when sleeping outside, it will make you swat at nothing in the air.
Seriously? We love the bees. It makes the whole recording. Most "nature sounds" recordings skip the sounds of insects which are an intrinsic part of outdoor experience. Hey, we were raised on a farm, what can we say? We even had an apiary for a while.
the blasted BEES. I hate bees - otherwise this would be the perfect album.
Listening to this album one feels like sleeping on the grass, smelling colourful flowers and laughing. Recomanded especially at winter time.
