Great singles comp
If you have to pick one release to introduce yourself or someone else to LSF, this is definitely it (of course)... but listen to the tracks in reverse order!

With "Inches", Les Savy Fav puts out the best release of there career. A comp of singles made throughout there career, it's shows a band that has made incredible strides and keeps getting better with every new song they write. Guitarist Seth Jabor plays guitar like he's taken the best parts of every guitarist of the last 30 years and created his own supergroup. Tim Harrington has maybe the best singing/scream voice since Kurt Cobain, and the rhythm section is incredible tight and inventive. If "Sweat Decends", "Hold On to Your Genre" and "Yawn Yawn Yawn" don't get your adrenaline going, you're probably in a coma.
I'll keep this simple. If you like to rock and move your bottom, download "The Sweat Descends." If you like it, download the rest. You won't be sorry.
I was shocked when I heard this band for the first time. Infectious is the only word I can come up with to describe the songs that Harrington writes. And best of all-danceable. Plus, there live show is great.
I love this album, especially tracks 5 & 10. Do note that on some tracks the recording is poor but as an earlier poster mentioned they help show just how far Les Savy Fav has come.
Some of the tracks are better than others. In particular track 4 is a big drop from the quality of the first three. The highest highs for me are tracks 2, 3, 5, and the creepy radio play "Reformat (Live)".
