Love the new emusic system! You have to buy a whole album to get one song! And pay 12 credits for a 7 song album. This service gets better every day!
My wife said this music was on some youtube video, I said what the hell, dl it. I am impressed! In the rotation for sure.
The only insights I can add to all the other reviews is that even people who don't like electronica love this album when I play it and if everyone were "shpongled" there might be less conflict in the world. Don't miss their other albums, especially Tales of the Inexpressible.Even though I'm not crazy about album pricing Shpongle is worth it!
Well, what can I add?! Simon and Raja need no introduction just praise for one of the best albums on e-Mu! This has to be some of the best work I've come across - you WILL NOT be dissapointed. Just give yourself the full time needed to listen through the whole album, and let go! See you when you get back!!
Absolutely changed my life. (For the better!) Thanks for being part of this planet and time.
This has to be one of the best albums I've downloaded. Its an album that you want to listen to over and over brilliantly done.
Shpongle's debut album is their best from dynamic duo Simon Posford / Raja Ram. Every song is a jewel but when you listen to it as a whole and in order... It's an amazing tale of "humans' first contact with an extraterrestrial species"
I found this album accidentally through a music search engine... but wow! I was glad this found its way into my collection. It's the perfect psychedelic album with true uniqueness. It's mind-altering enough as well as natural, organic, and even spiritual. Listen to this album on headphones to hear its multi-layered tapestry, and to experience it's full potential. Simon Posford (leader of Shpongle) is a musical genius. From his sophisticated electronic productions, one can say that he is (no exhaggeration) the most talented artist in the world. This album is a real gem, and still hasn't been topped thus far... I might add that I highly recommend this one for shrooming :::)
Trippy downtempo, with some world music flare....and instrumentation that has a beautifully textured blend of electronic and acoustic. I think they did a perfect job picking out the album cover to visually express the music. you really DO need to gather yourself after a listen to this one.
