Stellar as always
As good as songwriting/singing gets. Check out his entire catalog. You will not be disappointed.

First discovered Matthew through Paste magazine and have since grown to love his wistful, strained tenor. The songs all seem tinged with sorrow or longing--on a cloudy day in Kansas there's nothing more appropriate.
It really doesn't get more better than this. Except in Matthew Ryan's other records. If you like this album, check out "Concussion". After that everything else is just music. If you know what I mean...
this is a good album, and he's a really engaging and accomplished live performer, so if you get the chance, go see him too! I'd seen him accompany Tom McRae and Turin Brakes, and if your tastes run in that direction then Ryan actually maybe a pretty good foil to that pair, stylistically... Some beatiful songs here, and definitely worth a d'load.
