Music that fuses physical and spiritual yearning
Label: Blue Flame / The Orchard

Bahramaji lives in Ibiza, where he composes deeply spiritual, ambient grooves that have become part of the "conscious" chill-out scene on the Balearic island of bliss. Using instruments like the dotar, dumbek and cymbals, Bahramaji adds his own smoky tenor into the mix — think Krishna Das, but groovier. From start to finish, this is music that fuses both spiritual and physical yearning together into one seductive, yet inspiring, sound.

Nothing to Write Home About...

CaSundara

I found this album pretty uninspiring and a bit new-agey, so much so that, after listening to it elsewhere, I decided against downloading it! Don't get me wrong; it's certainly listenable, and it's relaxing enough; but it's nothing special, and the later parts of some tracks were a bit repetitive. My personal favourite was track 7, which is only available when you buy the rest - hence my decision...

Moody and Magnificent

tommoran

This stuff is groovelicious. Dark, moody and funkified I'm in awe of this cool stuff on my big rig stereo. It'll embed itself in your subconscious and not let go. A trip for the mind.

Sufism combines Hinduism and Islam

antony6555

Sufism combines Hinduism and Islam. That is why there is a picture of Shiva on the cover.

Sufi Shiva

shadowpupp3t

In answer to the question below: In the Qur'an there is a verse which explains to us that, at one time, all nations were one people. And, during this time, God raised among us all.. prophets with a message. Many Sufis interpret this to mean that all deity is simply an aspect of the source... which, of course, is Allah.. who is not limited by gender ("there is no god but god"). Shiva and Kali can be seen as aspects of the divine personality. This, of course, is considered heresy by many orthodox Muslims but... here it appears we simply have some great Sufi music.

Very good sounds

Ambient, relaxing Indian sounds, very chilled and harmonious. Especially tracks 3,5 and 7 are my favorite, full points for them, the rest are like 3-4 points. The album is worth downloading it.

Sufi music--Shiva on Album

Music2Heal

I give this Sufi music album 4 stars and it is a New Age music I'll listen to now and again. I'm puzzled as to why they chose to have the Hindu God Shiva on the cover, as the music has nothing to do with either India or Hinduism. Maybe the authors identify with Lord Shiva as a Sufi!!! The music is deep, resonant, and vibrant, with a pulsating beat. I think you'll be captivated by it.
