Fantastically Hip
I saw Jay at the Columbus Jazz Fest recently, with Groove Collective, and realized I hadn't checked out any of his stuff as leader. Glad I did. This is fresh and hip and beautiful. Love it!

genuine jazz here, a beautiful concert breathing soundly and full of soul. i like this performance, it is tricky and natural at the same time. very fresh melodies and excellent rhythmic session too!
