It's difficult to find the full version of "rappers delight" anywhere, so I downloaded it anyway. These tracks do sound hollow. I opened it in my music editor (audacity) and noticed that the right channel was quieter and more compressed. So I turned up the amp on the right and lowered it a little on the left. That seemed to work. Not perfect audio quality, but close. I'm glad too, because there's some serious old school stuff here
Like the previous reviewer, it sounds hollow to me. Was this ripped through a digital reverb or something. Maybe it's a crude DJ set recording? Some notes about this album from the label would be helpful.

There are a couple of duds on here -- Kevie Kev's "All Night Long" was awful even back in the day, and it hasn't aged well in the years since -- but the heart of this compilation is a set of classic Grandmaster Flash singles from '81-'83, including the terrific "It's Nasty" (the first song to sample Tom Tom Club's "Genius of Love") and the still-breathtaking "Adventures of Grandamster Flash on the Wheels of Steel" (here puzzlingly called "Another One Bites the Dust") and "White Lines." Also includes the full 15-minute original version of "Rapper's Delight"!
