A sonic elixir for the restless heart and the racing mind.
Label: FARFIELD Records

If I could use one example of an artist that blends the deft touch of electronic ambience a la Eno and Rich with sounds that are directly engineered to help achieve a calm and healing state it would Sonosync's Music in Time With Your Resting Heartbeat. He uses the sound of rushing water on a number of tracks, combined with tinkling piano, impressionistic chords and soft and gentle synths that emanate. Each track appears three different times at three different tempos, with slightly different treatments. Great for headphones as well as background music, it's a sonic elixir for the restless heart and the racing mind.

3 different tempos?

HSWT

I'm a ex-professional musician and I dare anyone out there to show me the difference in tempos of the 3 versions of each track. Me thinks it's mostly just a clever way to market 3 different versions of the same composition. That said I will probably download one set as it does seem to be pretty nice relax/sleepytime music. will get back to you on what I think of what ever set I download.

This is a must buy!

I've been practicing massage for 5 years now. Out of all the music I play for my clients - this has gotten the most powerful positive response. Essentially you've got three cds of the same music but each cd is for a different resting heart rate. 60-90 bpm, 50-60 bpm and 50 bpm or lower. This is a must buy! Whether you're a stressed out client or a massage therapist you need to own this music. Scot Maitland www.AustinTouch.com

Calming / Irritating

Muse8

The music is calming, meditative and sublime. Reminiscent of Harold Budd or Sakamoto's piano and ambient work. However, the kitschy running water sounds ruin the effect for me. I can't relax when I think my bath is overflowing and flooding the apartment.

This whole compilation is simply beautiful! I listen to it before falling asleep at night or when i really need to relax. It takes my thoughts deeper... to an automatic meditation state!

Beautiful

Moogdude

Beautiful mix of atmospheric field recordings and ambient minimalist melody. I only downloaded the first cd, I found the other two were pretty much identical in all but pace. I appreciate the concept, but to be honest, the first cd is enough either restful background to work or to knock you out if suitably relaxed. Wonderful

Nice and Restful

OpenToSuggestion

Having only DL'd CD1 I will say I find it restful, moreso than I imagined from the short sample. Yes, I worry about any music that pairs natural sounds but this cd does so as a fit to the music. Musically there is melody, sometimes barely discernable, but in all cases it is pleasant. I laid back on the couch and could ALMOST tune out my three girls fighting...that says alot.
