The Softies, It’s Love
Label: K Records / SC Distribution

The dewy-eyed duo of Jen Sbragia and Tiger Trap's Rose Melberg sing as softly as they can manage, about a single subject — the brittle territory between having a crush and being crushed.

It is Love!

The Softies, with their delicate guitar playing and breathy voices always carry me away to that bittersweet place. These songs, about the fragile human heart, reach right in and tear you up. Lovely!

They Say All Media Guide

A gorgeously melancholy debut, It’s Love forgoes the ebullient love-rock of singer/guitarist Rose Melberg’s tenure with Tiger Trap to focus on skeletal guitar/harmony duets with partner Jen Sbragia; simple and beautiful, tracks like “I Love You More,” “Charms Around Your Wrist” and “Fragile, Don’t Crush” are as sweet as cotton candy — pure indie-pop perfection. Bonus points for the wonderful cover of Talulah Gosh’s “I Can’t Get No Satisfaction (Thank God).” – Jason Ankeny
