Country sound, cutting edge lyrics
Her sound is very country, all twangy, but the lyrics are very modern, not at all what Loretta Lynn would sing. I got this because I had heard one of her newer songs (Mercy Now) and liked it. I liked some of the songs because of the lyrics(1, 4) others for their total sound (7, 10). I'm not a country fan, but it's definitely worth a try.
