Not Bad At All

I was listening to some Sugar Ray cuts and the Plain White T's came up as a recommendation. I played "Revenge" and thought the cut was great. Been a member since 2006 and I think Emusic has really improved..

Not True!

It really bugs me when some people feel the need to go and critize the what teens today listen to! We have a right to listen to what we want and to buy what songs we want. While some of the "older" generations may not agree with us, you don't have to voice (or type) it out load just to critize us! I personally like the plain white Ts and some of you should just admit to yourselves that the times have changed and so has the music!

I live in the smallest town ever and the plain white t's and boys like girls came to my wall-mart parking lot and played for us. haha it was so random. i was in the front row and the lead singer winked at me! :D there are a few good songs on here so ya. they are good live.

Plain Bad

This is "punk pop" (which is an oxymoron in itself) for the teenybopper set. The pathetic people who whine about "good music" on e-music apparently have not spent enough time listening and browsing to know what "good music is." Just because your 13-year-old friends have never heard of it, doesn't mean it's not good.

I am amazed...

EMUSIC-01C6A223

...that some people just don't get it. Spoiled, are we? Artist like the Plain White T's are hot today, not tomorrow. People will celebrate them now and deny them like a Judas when they aren't so fresh out of the box. I love the selection of old and new, pop and punk, fad and faded, unusual and exceptional music on your site. Besides providing a goldmine of hard-to-find musical nuggets, you manage to keep your prices realistic. I can't seem to get enough. Thank you, eMusic. I am recommending you to all my friends over here serving in Afghanistan.

They Say All Music Guide

Less punk than infectious power pop, Chicago’s Plain White T’s put a modern, airwave-affable stamp on that beloved strain of the rock & roll virus with All That We Needed. The jumpy title track launches the set with a nod to Tom Petty’s “American Girl,” but the hooks don’t stop there. The band draws on Jimmy Eat World for the hit contender “Take Me Away,” while tunes like the lovelorn “My Only One” and the punchy “Revenge” rock harder and feel more original. If the cowbell-heavy “What More Do You Want?” is as cheesy as it is alluring, the guilty pleasures continue with the “young horny guy on tour” missive “Sing My Best,” which is just one of several songs that recall great lost bands like the Producers, the Ravyns, and the Romantics. The obligatory acoustic parting shot is also solid, evoking the spirit of Big Star’s classic “Thirteen.” – John D. Luerssen
