Lovely music, beautifully played
Guastavino (1912-2000) was a well-known composer in his homeland of Argentina, but not well-known in the Eurocentric United States. These lovely pieces certainly evoke traditional South American rhythms and harmonies, but have far less of a 20th century sensibility than his countryman Ginastera. Beautiful playing by Duo Moreno-Capelli. Well-recorded as well.
