Exquisite ambient experiments

The raw material used for these works is typical Vladislav Delay--clicking percussion, delicate pads, occasional piano stabs. The arrangements, however, are truly unique. Delay is doing for jazz what Basic Channel did for dub--reducing it to the barest signifiers and recontextualizing it entirely. In his sparse, swung beats and elliptical compositions, Delay is forging a genuinely new sound.

just over an hour of sketches and aimless noodles

...or, you could say "boring." although there are only four "tracks" to this album (and thank god it only cost four downloads!), this album consists of many more smaller "pieces" seemingly randomly cross-faded with one-another to produce a sequence that neither mellows one out nor engages one sufficiently to listen deeply. if you like drums/percussives that often fail to achieve a rhythm, and a palette of drones and tones you've heard before, you've come to the right place!

Fine album for your fourth world deep space slow motion dub ambient chill out playlist permutations. Slow motion zoom in through a glass top of a vintage pinball machine; follow the interplay of balls and bumpers, notice the other sounds in the arcade. Look behind you with your ears. Dig the bass and how the space expands with plenty of room for a muted fireworks display of exotic timbres.
