Awesome!!!

The young band has learned a great secret: It’s possible to make a massive, commercial, go-for-the-gusto Rock Record while still holding on to dark idiosyncrasies and seriousness of purpose.

A Must Have!

Manchester Orchestra is one kick-ass band. I saw them open for Brand New in Philly this spring and they were awesome! You should definitely get this EP... It's one of the best albums on eMusic!

Sure, they have a full-length disc out now, but this EP is the one you really have to get. While the songs on the full-length disc are just as good. This EP is much more polished in the final product. Alice And Interiors is the easiest to compare since it appears on both discs. The EP version comes off as much more refined. Well, enough comparison. This disc displays a wide variety of sounds, though never sounding like any other band. Buy the disc... Download it... whatever... Just get the music.

Drumbeats and mathy, calculated guitars are sometimes reminiscent of Minus the Bear. Andy Hull's lyrics are fresh, and young, and full of potential. You brainstorm is a satisfying album, and a good beginning for the band. If you like this album, I suggest checking out Lovedrug
