Track down the liner notes
One of the most entertaining things about this album is the liner notes - how to erase finger prints and everything subversive. P-power all the way!

One of the best Dischord / punk recordings of the 1990's (outside Fugazi, of course). Highly recommended.
Simply one of the best records of the 90s, and a perfect example of the expression "more than the sum of its parts". Even songs that SHOULD be weaker manage to be exhilirating. The obvious choice hear for best song is "The Kid Who Tells On Another Kid Is A Dead Kid", which is a refrence to a classic early Matt Dillon vehicle, but that movie is also sort of a cinematic expression of the spirit that NOU embodies with its noisy, often dissonant, Chuck Berry chuggin' Benzadrine and probably some Camus rock n'roll/punk rock/whatever. What I mean to say is that this is one of my favorite albums and that you should download the whole thing.
Arguably one of the most important punk records ever. In 1991 the world was talking about "punk" breaking into the mainstream, but beneath the surface was NOU; heralding a new underground and delivering a final, holy blow to manufactured angst and posturing MTV wannabe's.
this lp f***king rocks, period. Punksoulpreachingrock'n'roll.
