Dangerous album
This album's like having a year's free supply of potato chips. Can't stop listening to it.

I saw these guys live in Council Bluffs, Ia at an outdoor concert a couple summers ago which is where I bought this cd! I still love it! They were on the bill with John Hiatt. The talent of these guys!!!! They totally blew me away. Totally loved them. This cd is a constant reminder of a really great night of music and fun and dancing (you cannot stay seated while they are playing). So of course I had to go to eMusic and look for more. Can't wait to download everything they put out.
"We're sorry. This album is unavailable for download in your country (United Kingdom) at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause". Grrr!!!
Especially Bang Bang Lulu
The title for the North Mississippi Allstars latest album, Electric Blue Watermelon is right on the money. The Electric'ness Blue'ness starts with Luther Dickinson's guitar work with is nothing short of very cool. It's obvious he's been schooled by great old southern blues players. The watermelon'ness is completed by his brother and drum player, Cody along with bassist, Chris Chew. They add the grooves, twists, turns, and even a slight hint of rap to this album. 'Teasin Brown' and 'Hurry Up Sunrise' which Lucinda Williams makes a guest appearance on, are the easy ones to pick on this release. But my favorite is 'No Mo' which sounds like a song you might hear guys singin' on a street corner with it's earthy lyrics and the guitar groove running through it. Run out and get this album if you want jam.
