I had heard "Don't Forget Me" a year ago and loved it. It took me this long to think about looking up the group on emusic, and I wish I would have found it earlier!
This album has some fantastic moments, it contains the right mix of etheral songs like "Don't forget me" and "Absinthe Dreams". My personal favourites are the songs that build into an audio riot. Killa is the best track on the album for the 5 min intro that builds to perfection.
I've loved Way out West since I heard "Domination" from their first self-titled album back in '96 or '97. Their latest album is a treat, with smooth vocals from Omi, doing what Joanna Law did with "The Gift," and then seguewaying into a fabulous instrumental set, with my personal faves being a classic-sounding Wow track "Everyday," which combines harsh sci-fi sounding breakbeats with a Tangerine Dream sample, and the trippy closing number "Absinthe Dreams." "Fear" and "Anything but You" are also great. It's a lush, subtle, dreamy progressive house soundscape that you can lose yourself in. It's too bad eMusic isn't including the 2nd CD that comes with the album- there's a DJ set included that I hear is also very good. Nevertheless, DJ set or not, this is still highly recommended!
