Wonderful!
I saw her perform at a conference in L.A., and I was blown away. Her singing, lyrics, and song structure were unique and fresh. Plus, her song "The Same Mary" hit right at home. Spoke to her afterwards, and she is also a really sweet person. Top notch.
It's a winner!
I'm not largely into folk music. But there is something approachable and wholesome about Kathy Hussey's music. Her voice is strong, yet gentle and inviting. Kind of like someone you wouldn't mind sitting down and singing in your living room. And the songs are well-crafted, with catchy melodies and masterfully written, down-to-earth lyrics. Every one of them is a winner.
