One of the best Australian albums ever
This is a classic album - far better than 'In Ghost Colours' (which got way more attention). 'Future', 'Saturdays', 'Going Nowhere' and 'Time Stands Still' are particularly amazing songs.

They are such an incredible group, but imagine seeing them live! They are even better than their cd. We got 2 encores. Ahhhhh yeah. We're talking about a serious dance party.
Download this entire album immediately. Every song is flat out wonderful and makes me feel like the world is not an evil, soulless place. I ask you, how can you put a price on that?? I would give this 101 stars if I could. Yup. Safe to say I love, love, love it.
IF YOU FIBD YOURSELF HIBERNATING OR REFUSING TO GO OUT, PUT THIS DAMN ALBUM ON! YOU WILL RUN WANT TO RUN A MARATHON WITH A BIG SMILE ON YOUR FACE... YOU WONT REGRET DOWNLOADING THE ENTIRE ALBUM, HOWEVER I HIGHLY RECOMMEND: TIME STANDS STILL, GOING NOWHERE, THAT WAS JUST A DREAM, A DREAM, AND "ZAP ZAP" IS BY FAR THE BEST.
Great dance music.
but it isn't working for me. LCD Soundsystem works for me, Cut Copy does not. It could be that I like a few non-vintage patches in the synths. Still in the rotation, though.
I'm an 80's addict and these guys NAIL it! Love both releases equally! Fun upbeat savvy techno stuff here! More more! They deserve to better know!
In Ghost Colours seems to get a bigger rap, but in my opinion this is the better album. The style is very retro, I see more '70s disco influence than '80s, but it's very much a product of the noughties. The style remains consistent throughout the whole album; if you like one of these songs then you'll like the lot. Best track is Future, followed by Zap Zap.
I finally downloaded a full album from Cut Copy to give it a go. At first I liked it a fair bit but didn't think it would grow on me that much. After a week and I love this album. The 70's style punk mixed with 80's sounding electronic can be something to get used to. Particularly as I'm not into the old punk music persay. I like the way most of the tracks follow from each other. short screeching guitars noise, guitar clashes, swirling chill out music and, I thought one very short track sounded like a train chugging along lol. Some great tracks here. Saturdays seems the most radio friendly track and has a chilled summer feeling to it. The other tracks are somewhat more serious. Twightlight is dark and edgey. Bright Neon Payphone is truely punk sounding. The likes of That was just a dream are upbeat and u can dance too. I'd recommend anyone give this first studioalbum a listen. Can't wait to hear their latest.
I hit it big with this one. I absolutely suggest this one. And no, there's no way they're even close to being Daft Punk, nor do I believe they are trying to do that... ((No one can even come close to Daft Punk))... But I DO believe that their alternative style mixed with the more electro/house sounding beats definitely blend well puts them above other artists who aren't open to stepping into other genres. I give them a lot of credit for this album!
