Recording is not good
I agree with Gigue. The recording is is somehow very muffled. It sounds like it was recorded from behind the sound glass or something. I love John Adams, but this is one to bypass.

Warning! What sounds like pleasant New Age flotsam on the sample tracks soon degenerates into "modern music," garish, repetitive noise. Worse, the recording suffers from a peculiar dullness; instead of crisp, bell-like resonance, the piano sounds as if the hammers were soaked in water.
