Refried Bauhaus
Caliente is one of the best covers of any songs I've ever heard. The rest of the album is good but not really in the old groove-oriented vein that RevCo used to make. It sounds like Ministry with more playful subject matter.

This one is more punk/metal than industrial; more like what you expect from Lard, which is no bad thing by itself, but I still prefer 'Beers...' and 'Linger...'. Then as now, there's some filler--'Jack In The Crack' is weak and obnoxious in a not-good way. Jello Biafra's rant on 'Viagra Culture' is indeed funny but not the sort of thing one wants to hear over and over. Also this version (meaning the downloads here vs. the CD) is missing the 'RevColution Medley' intro and the remaining songs are in a different order. I usually see cover-songs as filler, although the disgusting ad-libbed lyrics on the bastardized Bauhaus song 'Dark Entries' are hilariously-disturbing. Favorite songs:Fire Engine, Dead-End Streets and Devil Cock. If half-stars were allowed I'd give it 3 & 1/2.
This is big dumb fun from Al and co. Not really a bad moment on this one and i particularly enjoy the crunchy guitars. Jello's rant on Viagra Culture is a piss funny highlight!!! Love it!!
This is easily the best material from Revco since 'Beers,Steers....' featuring contributions from Jello Biafra (Dead Kennedys), Gibby Haynes (Butt Hole Surfers), Rick Nielsen and Robin Zander (Cheap Trick), Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top), Stevie Banch (Spyder Baby), Phildo Owen (Skatenigs) plus of course Al & Paul. Stand out tracks are Viagra culture and Fire engine
