You have to hear this to believe it. It's almost too good!

Beyond the Genre.

Wanker

Outpaces Warren's previous mixes, and he has some brilliant ones. Large stretches of cd 1 & cd 2 rival something as creative as Sasha's Airdrawndagger for sheer quality and coherence in an ambient soundscape. Transporting in the best way music can be.

Simply brilliant. Go out of your way to make this your next selection- all of it.

The best DJ mix ever?

timabouttown

Nick Warren has done more GU mixes than anyone, and each of them is absolutely essential. This one is unique in a couple of ways. First, it's much leaner than the typically hyper-lush GU sound I love so much. Second, almost all of these artists are making their recording debut here! No famous anthems to hang your ears on, just one lovely instrumental surprise after another (very light on vocals), mixed impeccably as only NW does. There aren't nearly enough GU mixes here yet -- please GU, add them all! -- but I'm delighted that this was one of the first to come to emu. Collectors note: I bought this CD in the special edition long box, which also has a beautiful book of photographs and commentary on the Shanghai dance scene. Highly recommended if you like these sounds as much as I think you will.
