Bellini Norma
I agree with Rebecca this recording is apalling. It is distorted and amateur. There are many better recordings and I am surprised that it is even included.

very poor recording quality
There are a lot of wonderful performances of Maria Callas as Norma, this one is not one of them. The biggest problem is that the whole thing sounds as if it were recorded by someone sitting in the theater w/a tape recorder on his lap. You can actually hear some pages turning, as if the person sitting one seat over were flipping through a program. And yes, the sound is distorted. Now those Callas RAI concerts are beautiful and worth the download.
