I Like It I Really Do....
It is unique and a one of a kind find. I recommend.

If you are looking for more of the same, then this CD is not for you. If, however, you are looking to take a sensory journey through a kind of dark carnival of yesteryear, then hit "download all" before you read the rest of this review so that by the time you're done you can kick back and enjoy the trip. Very acoustic, very folk, and an undercurrent that kind of grabs onto you and won't let go.
If Norma Waterson had recorded an album with Elliott Smith, it would have sounded very much like this, and it has the same flaws that project would: Kraus, a British folk singer with a terrific trad voice in the style of June Tabor or Shirley Collins, sounds terrific here, while Kiefer's whispery bedroom-rock songs simply sound out of place.
