Slowcore House Electronica
Well, it is what it is. It's down-tempo, loungy, jazzy electronica house music. It's not gonna get you on the dance floor; it's not going to transport you to an ethereal plane. But if you're into slowcore and want an instrumental break, check it out. The "Peter Gunn" track definitely kicks it the most if you want just one track.
Who doesn't like free?
Great stuff -- especially for free! I like the polyrhythmic stuff and especially the Peter Gunn remix. It has a familiar enough sound, but with a nice techno flavor.
not all beats are alike
Thanks to Lounge Records for the free sampler. It's a true sampler too, from House to Spoken word with brasilian influenced Downbeat thrown in for good measure. Fans of Miguel Migs, Koop, Royksopp, Fatboy Slim, MJ Cole, and the Pizzicato Five will all find something here to like.

not too impressed
i'm not one whose ears perk when i hear thumpy dance beats, so this album simply didn't do much to thrill. with that said, i kept 5 of the 10 downloads. the peter gunn remix is by far the album's highlight. worth it for a free download but i'd rather get the nacional sampler.
