Cracking stuff
Compilation of some older vinyl only releases by Isolee. but none the worse for it. Frankly, his stuff is miles ahead of almost any other electronic producer out there. My only complaint is that it doesn't feature brazil.com, which is a great tune and only available on 12". His best tunes are on his LPs: We Are Monster and Rest. Hopefully eMusic will get those, and the Western Edits remix pack too. Good start though.
worth a listen for fans of mico-house
I’m a fan of the more dub-y side of micro-house, so many of the sound samples from this album appealed to me. It seems to me that there’s maybe not enough interesting ideas for quite a whole album, and many of these track seem to be mid-tempo. Not that I’m looking for every track to be upbeat but that can wear on you a bit. I downloaded tracks 1, 3, 4 (dub, micro-house) and 11 (rather epic in scope, plus I like Lost the TV show). The first three are nice and Lost is growing on me. Fans of Pole, Morr and Swayzak (when they do micro-house) will definitely like many of these tracks.
