Star Trekkin'
This is hilarious, if not almost blasphemous to an old-timmey Trekkie like me: I used to watch the original Star Trek on a 19" Black & White Sears Console TV, when my 40-something kids were babies !!!

Wish I had the rest of the Congress of wonders album. Star Trip seems a little hokey after all these years but still fun.
Not his best collection...
I'm a long-time fan of Dr. D., and was a bit disappointed by this album. Most of his collections contain a mixture of hard-to-find tracks and more familiar ones, and this is no exception. But while the more popular tracks here are winners (Star Drek, Star Trekkin, etc.), the less familiar tracks are a bit weak here, IMHO. Real filler material, that I probably won't be listening to much. YMMV as always. humor being such an individual thing. If you're a Doctor D completist you'll want the album anyway. Otherwise you may just want to download a few tracks.

This is a good album IF....
... you are into alternative music types like "filk" (go google it for the definition). Leslie Fish does a wonderful job as usual; "Banned from Argo" is known as a classic in this little-known genre! The Firm also does a great job of re-creating the actors of Star Trek in "Star Trekkin'". The only reason I won't download "The Saga Begins" is because I have the album Al recorded it on. Those of you who are being so negative towards Emusic haven't dug deep enough yet! There ARE gems here and tracks found *nowhere else* --if one looks deep enough. It's the digging that's fun!
