Nostalgic Reminiscing

Grivantian

I can close my eyes and imagine my great-grandparents and their family gatherered round the old Victrola at my great aunt's home. Still have some original records but this is better as they don't risk further damage when played. What a rare treat. A pleasure to find original recordings preserved for posterity. We like "scratchy" sounds

kjc

The "scratchy" sounds are the beauty of listening to a recording that is probably 100 years old and we appreciate and we are grateful that the "scratchy" sounds have not been removed by modern technology. When you're old and sound "scratchy", you'll appreciate that people like us enjoyed your "scratchy" sounds too. :-)

What did you expect - the Boston Pops?! This is JPS conducting his own works - what a rare treat to hear such well preserved historical recordings! P.S., ...love the scratchy record sound!!!

Truly *historic*

We were very disappointed with this download. It has the scratchy old record sound. Not what we had expected.
