Technical meets beautiful meets creative

benjaoming

You might think that now Faraquet and Q and Not U have left, that this genre is no more. But then you listen to this stuff and realize that NO SIR, someone has taken it further. And they've done so in a very intelligent way. They didn't just write a bunch of chaotic tapping, they wrote beautiful songs with creative structures. And man, what a concert in Copenhagen.. short, but perfect.

Get it now before they are all big and stuff

ILIKEPI

These guys came to a small club in Cincinnati, and I missed the show but a friend forwarded me a couple songs from their website and HOLY SHIT!!!! This stuff is great. The album is a little short and I hope they churn out another release. The riffs are amazing, the rhtyhm section is fantastic. Their approach to songs is not of this world but somehow energetic in a punk way. I can't imagine how they can pull this off live, but I've been told they do it quite well.

Total sonic destruction

thenemy

Someone recommended this to me saying that "they kind of sound like At the Drive In". Turns out they sound nothing like ATDI, but holy shit is Cinemechanica awesome. The rhythm section will pound you into submission with a barrage of syncopated 16th notes while the guitars amaze with quirky inventiveness. If Don Caballero and Small Brown Bike had a baby, it would have to be this band. Check out Bruckheimer or Paul McCartney first. Si te gustas, download todos. You will thank me later.
