Great MC, great lyrics, lousy production
If you miss the political rage of Paris and P.E., look no further than T-KASH. He certainly doesn't mince his words or water down his message - that black people need to rise up against the establishment. His lyrics are some of the best I've heard in years, and his message is certainly worth hearing. The only problem with this album is its production - it's WAY too slick and clean. In fact, if you don't pay any attention to the lyrics, you'd swear you were listening to light dance music. An MC with such riveting lyrics and such powerful delivery (think Paris crossed with U-God)needs much grittier sounding beats and music to accompany his excellent rapping. A producer like RZA or 9th Wonder would be perfect for this guy. Musically, this album falls flat and is just plain boring. Lyrically, however, this is great stuff. T-KASH is a man with something to say, and he's worth hearing.
