I have to say that this album sounds to generic for me.There are some nice songs in there but overall its an album where nothing really grabs you and leaves you feeling like she offers nothing different than some other female singers.
I've had this for about a year now and I'm still not tired of listening to it. It's so much more than a "girl and her piano" album. On songs like "Sweaters", "Spun Sugar" and "Edge of the Earth", Beth uses the piano chords to ratchet the beat up a bit, to memorable effect. She holds her own on the ballads too, as evidenced by the gorgeous vocals and piano playing on "Blue and White". Wonderful, wonderful stuff.
