I really like this

DubDance

As scientifik says, this is a hybrid mix of styles ranging from dub reggae to downtempo, rap to broken beat, dancehall to d&b, some really funky beats and some more laidback here too. Faves include Rize Up and Thru The Next Gate, deep rhythms and soulful vocals, funkier sounding Fly Free and the deep dubby sounds of Our Father, Our King (Middle East Dub) with surprise surprise a Middle Eastern touch. heart of Gold is dancehall vocals of a dubby funky basis.

Word on the streets... CMJ Top 40 Album / 4 Afros **** "Subatomic holds a clinic on the standard of releases for 2007 on their newest album. Artful lyrics, soulful singing and innovative beats... These beats could become the blueprint for future producers...Genius producing." - OkayPlayer.com / "Subatomic Sound System's unorthodox mashup of styles connects the dots between dub reggae, dancehall, hip hop, drum & bass, downtempo and broken beat [BPM Vital Releases]" - BPM Magazine / "Maverick, dub-wise sensibility" - XLR8R Magazine / "Certified gun smoke!" - VIBE Magazine, Editor-at-Large / "The surprise of the year. ‘On All Frequencies’ takes on dub, underground hip hop, broken-beat and dancehall and packs them into 14 sonic gems. [The song] ‘Ghetto Champion’ is what Damien Marley should have been working on. Rhiannon’s vocals seduce on 'Fly Free' as the dub shuffles on a funky clavinet riff." - ProperlyChilled.com
