Let it ride...
That is a gambler's expression for letting whatever is left on the table to be the wager or stake for the next game. In this case, it is a gamble on whether purchasing and listening to this album is a good bet. I arrived chasing Laurie Anderson, an old favorite of mine. The 30 second samples were hardly enough on which to base an opinion. Happily, logic was trumped by desire and I downloaded the whole album. The music is good and while for the most part the vocalists that Zazou pairs with are too idiosyncratic to be popular they are a who's who of outside talent. The songs, taken individually are quite good, but the album in its entirety is stunning. Let it ride. You won't be disappointed.
