Hope Sandoval, the singer for Mazzy Star, has an album out. They are called Hope Sandoval and the Warm Inventions. You can find one of their songs on here. She also has another solo song that you can find on this good compilation of songs for flying on planes called "In the Air", believe it or not. The first song on that compilation sounds a lot like her as well, but it just says it's the Chemical Brothers. Also keep an eye out for Jesus and Mary Chain's "Stoned and Dethroned" album, for she sings on there as well. And what an awesome album it is to.
they try to clean up the old tracks and forget to limit the white noise in the background. Sounds good, I give it a 4
I have been listening to Mazzy Star since the early 1990's when her first album "She Hangs Brightly" came out..Released in 1991. It is the BEST album of them all. Every song on it is Fantastic & BEAUTIFUL. You wont dislike not even one. Some of the best one's from that album are :Give you my Lovin, Ride it On, Halah, Im Sailin, Blue Flower & Be My Angel!! Her other two albums: "So Tonight that I Might See" released in 1993, & "Among My Swan" released in 1996 are super too, but nothing beats the 1st!! The songs on this soundtrack album of "down in the valley" are songs off her 3rd album,"Among my swan" & if you like these then you will be BLOWN AWAY by the songs off the 1st album! I too am extremely sad to see the emusic doesnt offer her albums here & they should! But if you havent checked out her 1st album, I URGE you to do so..QUICKLY!! You wont regret it! Bye All! ENJOY! CJ
If you like Mazzy Star you'll be disapointed to learn they are no longer together-damn, but their albums are sublime with 'Among my Swan' and 'So tonight that I may see' being the best. Top songs are 'Fade into you' 'Into dust' and 'I've been let down' There are many more but those are superb. Check them out.
I came here for Mazzy also. Didn't think she was that popular or signed big, but I guess I was wrong, because she's nowhere to be found other than this... :-(
Huh. I came here for Mazzy Star too. Heard them on Pandora. And there is a nice review of them here on emusic. But no albums. Sigh.
I fell in love with the Mazzy Stars' songs from this compilation, they are taken from their third album "Among My Swan".
Not sure about the rest, but two of the three Mazzy Star songs are quite good.
