I thought the songs sounded slow, but now that I have read what the other members have to say I totally agree with them I have almost every one of his orginal albums, I played them and then listened to this it does not sound right.

I deal with a lot of music promos, and I know this IS Teddy. But at his WORST!It has never been the same for him after his first accident. His original label and audience dropped him quick. Oh well.. E for eeecch!

As far as Teddy Pendergrass anthologies are considered, Greatest Hits: Love TKO — released by Master Classics in 2004 — falls somewhere in the middle of the pack. You’d be better off with any of the discs released by The Right Stuff, but this does an OK job of gathering 18 of Pendergrass’ biggest hits, including “Love T.K.O.,” “Close the Door,” “You’re My Latest, My Greatest Inspiration,” and “Turn Off the Lights.” In order to get the proper introduction, you need at least two discs worth of songs, so keep that in mind (along with the quality of the packaging, always a good indication) when making your choice. – Andy Kellman
